A truly Welsh country inn with B&B, group accommodation. We are perfectly situated in Wales for the local welsh towns of Abergavenny, Brecon, Hay on Wye & Crickhowell. We’re also very close to the border of England with bustling Hereford a short drive away. A variety of activities are available from our doorstep, from walking offa’s Dyke and the majestic Welsh Marches, Exploring the amazing Llanthony Abbey or exploring the local three castles – This walk around the Welsh Marches takes in the three Norman castles of Skenfrith, Grosmont and Whitecastle.

The Old Pandy Inn boasts first rate bunkhouse accommodation. The lodge is located in a converted fulling mill attached to the pub, your group or party can appreciate the unique atmosphere and ambience of the pub whilst having the privacy of your own lodge. Its been converted to accommodate large and small groups of up to 28 people in 4 room combinations.

The Lodge has full central heating to keep you warm in the winter and there is also a wood burning stove in the comfortable common room for those cosy nights in. There are showers at both ends of the building allowing for groups of opposite sexes. There is a limited kitchen with sandwich making facilities (the pub food is amazing and cheap at that so you won’t want to cook) full catering packages are available whatever the occasion. There’s free Wi–Fi access in the pub, a television with DVD player, video and Xbox with many games for those late night session.

Prices include a full traditional breakfast – bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, tea coffee. And if you fancy a lighter breakfast cereals and toast are provided. Early start continental breakfast before 07.30 am by prior arrangement.

The pub provides excellent home cooked food and regularly caters for large groups of an evening. The bar has a fine selection of local real ales, with a big log fire and leather sofas to rest those heavy tired feet. The pub also has a variety of pub games along with traditional pool, darts and boules. The only country Inn in the black mountains with dedicated group accommodation onsite. The pub and restaurant are located next to the bunkhouse so its not far to walk for a pie and pint.

For the sight seeker there are unlimited places to visit from Hay-on-Wye with one of the world’s largest collection of bookshops, Tintern, Chepstow, Brecon and many other ancient towns with their castles and monasteries.
